Pickles & Swiss 7060 Hollister Ave., Goleta, Ca 93117Our favorite downtown Santa Barbara sandwich shop, Pickles & Swiss, now has a Goleta location! We began this project in late spring of 2016 and finished just after Labor day. Owners Mark and Karin were an absolute delight to work with, as anyone who has met them in their storefront might have imagined! This tenant improvement began with an empty warehouse, as this was the first business in this unit to be constructed. We oversaw and constructed a commercial kitchen, complete with all the necessary plumbing and piping, framed new walls and counter space for the front of house location, installed new flooring, wall coverings, and interior glass. We're so excited to see Pickles & Swiss flourish in their new location. Polished Nail Spa 7060 Hollister Ave., Goleta, Ca 93117
Patricia Noel Studios 1253 Coast Village Rd, Montecito, CaLocated just off of Coast Village Road in Montecito, Patricia Noel Studios opened doors in it's new location in Spring 2014. Patricia is well known in Santa Barbara for her friendly demeanor and fabulous haircuts, and has previously worked in Montecito and Summerland for many years.
Toa Construction oversaw a major reconstruction of the interior including redoing the existing ceiling, drywall, paint, new flooring, cabinets, doors, electrical, HVAC and plumbing. In addition, Toa Construction custom cut and put together a floating wood wall that now separates the washing stations from the hair cutting stations. We were extremely pleased with the final look this gave the salon, breaking apart the different areas without closing down the space and making it feel small. If you would like to check out the space yourself, or get pampered at this great salon, please visit them at 1253 Coast Village Road in Montecito. Or you may contact Patricia directly to make a hair appointment. Juice Ranch Santa Barbara 33 Parker Way, Santa Barbara, CaLocated at 33 Parker Way, Juice Ranch Santa Barbara is an organic, fresh pressed juicer that opened shop in January 2013. Toa Construction oversaw the complete overhaul of the store space. The previous tenants were not selling food, so we brought the space up to health and safety standards, assisted with ADA qualifications, rebuilt the employee bathroom, took out and replaced the drywall, built a new ceiling, cabinets and created a store front of house, paint; pretty much everything to make this space the beautiful Juice Bar that it is today! Please visit the Juice Ranch's website and view the video HERE to see Gus and the rest of the team at work. Juice Ranch Isla Vista 6533 Trigo Rd #105, Goleta, Ca
In late 2013 we helped Juice Ranch Santa Barbara open another storefront, this time in Isla Vista. It is located within the delicious bakery Cruskcakes just off of Embarcadero del Norte. We custom cut each piece of wood for their iconic Chevron design counter (same as what we did in the downtown location.) We're really pleased with how the whole project came together, mixing the rustic ranch look with their retro/cool vibe. The copper countertops look beautiful with the woodwork on the front. With their focus on sustainable business practices, locally sourced produce and of course their delicious juice, we feel more than happy to help owners Scott and Erin's dreams come to fruition. Rancho Asoleado Riding Stables 250 Nogal Dr, Santa Barbara, CaRancho Asoleado Riding Stables is a horse boarding facility in Santa Barbara that is home to approximately 20 horses and a miniature donkey named Sarah Lee. (Update: Sarah Lee is no longer with us -- we are told she lived to a ripe old age of mid-40's! Here's to a long and happy life, Miss Sarah!) Toa Construction was hired to assist with several projects around the facility including rebuilding interior stalls, tearing down and repairing the exterior side wall of the barn, re-painting the shoeing barn, ripping down and rebuilding the arena fencing and front property fencing, fixing the gate underneath the manure ramp, and touching up on paint where needed. La Cumbre Animal Hospital 110 S La Cumbre Rd, Santa Barbara, CaIn spring of 2012, the driver of a truck accidentally drove through the window and into the reception area of La Cumbre Animal Hospital in the wee hours of the morning. Thankfully, no people or animals were seriously injured, but the damage was substantial to the entry, lobby and part of Exam Room 1.
To begin with, Toa Construction set up emergency walls so they could continue business as usual during construction. The repairs included new flooring, electrical, cabinets, seat benches, painting, rebuilding of the corner of the building and CMU blocking, exterior painting and installation of a new window in the reception area, as well as minor touch ups and repairs to the front exam room. It was a very fun process, and now the place holds a unique charm with a warm and friendly waiting room to match this hospital's friendly demeanor. |
